Kenton CC 1st XI vs Harrow Town CC 1st XI
The 1s travelled to Harrow Town and we were bowling first after skipper Dylan won the toss. Dyls and Asif started off well giving very few runs. Town's top 3 found it difficult to score however their number 4 Barnale brought up a ton and Town’s middle order were up for the fight and propelled them to 291/6 in 55 overs. During the chase, we lost wickets at regular intervals. Saj brought up his 50 before being dismissed for 55. It was then left to Dyls and Asif to get us the draw and they batted responsibly to help us earn an important point in the race for promotion.

Kenton CC CV XI vs Headstone Manor CC CV XI
Now onto Sunday…
And this was a great day for the club, getting an amazing win over Headstone in the big local derby. You all remember Stokes and Leach at Headingley? This was far better, shame the Froggy’s battery died☹️. Manor batted first, they put up 259 as Milind took 3 and Zaki took 2. Shoutout to Hem as well for bowling with control to help reduce Manor's run rate after a fast start. The chase started well, Nihal brought up 50 before he and Hem were dismissed quickly. 122/1 quickly became 206/9. A familiar face at Manor, Dylan then took the game to the Manor bowlers. Boundaries were flying everywhere. Overs going for 13,14,16 runs before he brought the game home with 55* (43). A huge shoutout has to go to Mihir Patel who supported Dyls throughout, and held his end up and for that, has made my TOTW (check instagram)!. What a win for the CV side, still sit top of the table.
