Kenton CC 1st XI vs Highgate CC 1st XI (A)
The 1s made the trip over to Highgate, a fixture known for bringing fireworks especially in Gameweek 2. On a sunny day, and a lovely deck, skipper Dylan Assani won the toss and elected to field first. As always, he led from the front picking up 2 early wickets. Charlie was then introduced into the attack and struck early with an LBW to have Highgate 54/3 after the powerplay. Utkarsh finished with 4-37 from his spell but some lower order resistance meant Highgate were able to post 189 all out. Over to the batting, in typical Schops style he got us going with a boundary off the first ball. Abs by was dismissed early, then followed Kalps. After Schops was dismissed LBW, Akshay Powale and Owen got to work straight away. Fantastic partnership batting to help us get close to the target. Owen, trying to finish the game quickly was unfortunately dismissed on 45, breaking a 45 run partnership. Akshay scored 69 before being dismissed with 1 run to get. Chich finished the job and we won by 5 wickets. 2/2 for the 1s as they travel to Winchmore Hill next week.

Kenton CC 2nd XI vs West Harrow CC 2nd XI(H)
The 2s were looking to bounce back after narrowly missing out last week. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, West Harrow started well. However, Cedric Mendes with 3-34 and Tejpalsinh Jadeja with 3-11 were instrumental in turning the tide in our favour to restrict West Harrow to 149 all out. Onto the chase and Kaushal Patel with 36 off 36 was not going to let this slip. Sajan Shah contributed with 26 and so did Cedric with 18. Despite losing 5 wickets, we chased the target relatively comfortably in 25.3 overs, securing a huge 10 points to get the 2s season going.

Kenton CC 3rd XI vs Brondesbury CC 3rd XI (H)
The 3s hosted Brondesbury CC who had been relegated from the Premier Division. After winning the toss, the Brondesbury captain wanted to ensure his team made full use of the fantastic deck served up by our groundsman Manoj Prasanga. However, Vijay Prajapati had other ideas, he took 4-38 helping us to restrict them to 149 all out. The chase was completed with relative ease. Danushka continued his amazing form with a rapid 67 before being dismissed with 4 runs to get. Skipper Jonny saw us home with a boundary and that's all she wrote. A huge win by 6 wickets, 10 more points in the bag. The 3s look to continue their momentum taking on Finchley 3s next weekend.

Kenton CC 4th XI vs Bessborough CC 3rd XI (A)
On the back of a big win in Gameweek 1, the 4s made the trip to Bessborough. Bessborough won the toss and we were fielding first. Ravi Patel and Bernard Emmanuel bowled tight lines but were unable to find a breakthrough. However, that changed very quickly when Raj Parmar and Zakirullah Khiyal were brought into the attack. Both of them ripped through the Bessborough batting line-up, taking their first KCC 5 wicket hauls, massive congratulations to you both! Raj ended with 5-39 in his 9 overs while Zaki took 5-21 in 6.5 overs. Bessborough collapsed to 142 all out. The chase started off looking like a Rugby score at 9/3 and then 25/4. In came the experienced Samit Patel, and along with Searan Karamchandani, saw us close to the target. Searan remained unbeaten on 46 (129), while Samit was dismissed on 31. Ravi finished the job with an unbeaten 31 to see us home by 5 wickets. 2/2 for the 4s as we host Hornsey CC 3s next week.
