THE WEEKEND RESULTS ARE IN!
And unfortunately the rain did not stay away as we wished.
Kenton CC 1st XI vs Harrow CC 1st XI
The 1s travelled to Harrow CC and Dylan won the toss and we were fielding. We started off fantastically having Harrow 22/3 and then 108/6. This was before the onslaught from their overseas occurred and they got to 215/6 before the rain came and eventually abandoned the game. Tejpal took 3-47 in his 9 overs and skipper Dylan took 2-27 in his 9 upfront.

Kenton CC 2nd XI vs Stoke Newington CC 2nd XI
The 2s hosted Stoke Newington CC at the Alan Digby Ground. Roshan lost the toss and we were batting. The skies were grey and it was gloomy however Saj lit it up with a magnificent 114 off just 71 balls, sending the ball to all parts of the ground. He was supported by Nihal who scored 41 before falling after a 124 run partnership. This then triggered a mini collapse as we went from 128/1 to 229/8, however the tail helped us get to 254 all out thanks to Milind's 27. Again the rain came and the game was abandoned.

Kenton CC 3rd XI vs North London CC 3rd XI
The 3s travelled to North London CC and Jonny lost the toss and we were batting. We didn’t get off to the best of starts at 36/3. Once again it was Kaushlendra Singh, batting on a different surface to everyone else with 51 off 31 balls. He was supported by Chirag's 29. The 3s ended with 139 all out. The defence started well as Prish and Vish had NLCC 28/4 before the rain came and abandoned the game.

Kenton CC 4th XI vs North London CC 4th XI
The 4s hosted North London 4s at home and Dippy actually won the toss and we were fielding. The bowlers really bowled tightly restricting them to 144 in 41.5 overs, way below par. Sakith was the pick of the bowlers with 4, while Abhishek took 2 and Bernie with 1. At 40/2 with Manoj and Searan at the crease, the chase was on, however the rain had other ideas and eventually the inevitable, match abandoned.

Kenton CC CV XI vs Eastcote CC CV XI
Onto Sunday and it was the CV side at home to Eastcote. Skipper Hem lost the toss and we were fielding first and the returning Rahil got us on the board after some tidy glove work from Nihal, before Milind’s 4-fer, supported by Vish, Hem and Mihir as well as some top fielding from Rosh and Vish helped us bowl them out for 203. Chich and Jonny got the chase going and after Jonny fell, Chich didn’t stop going as he brought up his first KCC century, 111 off 94, supported by Nihal’s 49 to bring the game home as we win by 7 wickets, marking Hem’s first win as CV skipper!!
