Southgate CC 1st XI vs Kenton CC 1st XI
The 1s were fielding first after skipper Dylan Assani won the toss. A mammoth 28-over spell by skipper Dyls (welcome to the timed games fellas!) as well as support from Cedric Mendes and Hem Shah restricted Southgate to 148/9 in their 55 as all three bowlers bowled superbly for their 3-fers. The chase never got going and we lost wickets at regular intervals. Hem Dylan and Waaris Deen showed some fight towards the end but it wasn’t enough. Loss by 18 runs.

Kenton CC 2nd XI vs Chiswick CC 2nd XI
The 2s hosted Chiswick and were also bowling first after skipper Roshan Patel won the toss. Skipper Roshan led from the front as he took a 5fer after bowling 18 straight overs and finishing with 5-38. Kaushlendra Singh and Ajmal Jabrekheil supported fantastically to restrict Chiswick to 104 as they took the final 5 wickets between them. There was a few wobbles in the chase but Kaushlendra’s 42 (15), including 4 fours and 4 sixes, eased any nerves before the experience pair Sohail Butt and Puneet Pattni finished the job. Win by 5 wickets.

Kenton CC 3rd XI vs North Middlesex CC 4th XI
The 3s hosted North Middlesex 4s and were batting first after skipper Rishi Toor lost the toss. There were many starts but nobody was really able to kick on for a big score with the top score being Bishan Shah’s 32(68). Onto the defence and the boys left their hearts out there but a few errors in the field swung the game in North Midd’s favour but the boys will look to rectify this in training and be back next week. Loss by 5 wickets.

North Middlesex CC 5th XI vs Kenton CC 4th XI
The 4s were bowling at North Middlesex’s 5s after skipper Deepak Singh won the toss and after a fast start by North Middx it was youngster Jaisal Jansari who helped pull it back with his stellar first adults 5fer, and it definitely won’t be his last! Ketu Thakker got us going with the first breakthrough before Jaisal and Ankit Shah, returning from celebrating Arsenal’s league title for the past month, ran through the North Middx batting lineup. Jaisal ended with 5-40 and Ankit with 4-53. Samit Patel and Kushal Subasinghe got the chase off to a flyer with their opening partnership of 76 with Samit being the aggressor before he was removed for 46 (39). A couple of wickets fell and we saw ourselves at 83/3 before Sahil Goswami’s 52* (46) including 5 fours and 4 sixes, his first league half-century, supported by skipper Deepak's 21* (37) saw us home comfortably in the end. Win by 6 wickets.
