The 1s travelled to Enfield CC in an important clash at the top of the table. Skipper Dyls lost the toss and we were bowling. Dyls led from the front bowling a mammoth spell of 26.2 overs and ending with figures of 5-65. He was supported by Kalps, Charlie and Tejpal as Enfield were 195ao. At 131/4 with Kalps and Hem at the crease, we were going well. However we were then reduced to 144/8 after a good fightback from Enfield and up stepped Tejpal with ice in his veins to hit 34* (28) to bring home the winning draw with a huge 6 in the last over. 4 important points and the 1s sit 2nd in div 2.

Kenton CC 2nd XI vs Harrow Town CC 2nd XI
The 2s hosted Harrow Town at home. Skipper Rosh won the toss and we were fielding. The opening spell by Prits and YK reduced HTCC to 35/4. Both Prits and YK had the ball on a string and were unplayable. UT and Milind took 3 each in the middle, spinning a web around the HTCC batters and they ended 188ao. The chase started well with Viraj and Ceddie at the crease and we were comfortable at 51/0. HTCC then began to chip away before Karsh and Milind brought us closer to the total. Ice in the veins was a running theme at KCC this weekend as it was left to YK and UT to get the final runs and that they did with YK hitting the winning runs. 10 huge points in the bag in the 2s push for promotion.
